Study visit to the University of Freiburg

2018-03-12

Yu-Ting Kao, NaMeS PhD student, participated in the study visit at the University of Freiburg. The purpose of this trip was trouble shooting for her experiment and get some practical experiences about nucleic acid amplification from Hahn Schickard. In the first two days, Yu-Ting Kao had lab safety training and lab tour before starting the experiments. There were demonstrated the standard protocols of each experiments that she will do in the future and it was discussed on how to cooperate with her system. The following two days, Yu-Ting Kao tried to use her microfluidic device to do droplet generation on both recombinase polymerase amplification (RPA) and loop mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP). In results, Yu-Ting Kao got some inspiration on revising her system and the problem of image analysis has been solved.
