JRC Virtual Summer School

Faria Khan was selected to take part in the European Union Commission’s JRC Virtual Summer School on “Non-animal Approaches in Science: The Three R… Evolution”, held between 17-21 May 2021, and presented the research poster titled “Toxicological Profiling of Environmental 2-, 3- and 4-Nitrophenols using Human Lung Cells”. In addition to it, she took part in the training followed by the group presentation in the debating session where the title of the presentation was “Will Organ on Chip be the ultimate substitute of animals in science?”. The summer school was offered as a part of EU training where several planetary sessions, presentations, and training were offered to encourage the use of in-vitro approaches as an alternative to animal testing.
