Hannover MESSE 2017

Natalia Olejnik, NaMeS PhD student, paricipated in one of Europe's largest technology fairs - Hannover MESSE 2017.

The trip to this fair was organized in cooperation of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW) and the National Center for Research and Development. Most of the trip was financed by DIALOG, an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The main organizer of the trip was the Impact Foundation. Participation in Hannover MESSE was also co-financed from the funds for science, an international co-funded project, grant agreement No. 3549/H2020/COFUND/2016/2 (MNiSW).

During the fair Natalia Olejnik together with Wojciech Marynowski presented the project "High quality Zinc Oxide (ZnO) Quantum Dots (QDs) for emerging advanced technologies", that is tightly connected to Natalia Olejnik’s NaMeS project  under the supervision of prof. Janusz Lewiński. The students were presenting in the zone of Polish Technology - SciTech Poland.  During the fair Natalia Olejnik promoted the Polish Science Scene and the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences as one of the leading Scientific Units in Poland.

During the official opening of the SciTech Poland zone, she presented the abovementioned project on stage before Prime Minister Beata Szydlo and the Minister of Education and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin and representatives of the media.

The goal of the trip was to promote technology and establish international cooperation with other entities. This goal was achieved by establishing more than 35 contacts, several of which are very promising for the moment.
