European Aerosol Conference 2019

Faria Khan and Kumar Sarang, NaMeS Ph.D. students in the environmental chemistry group of ICHF PAS participated in EAC 2019. The conference covered several plenary and parallel sessions on broad range of environmental science applications. This included sessions on secondary aerosol components, biomass burning aerosol, aerosol measurement and calibration procedures and environmental health related topics.

Faria had an opportunity to give an oral talk at the conference titled Acute Exposure Effects of Biomass Burning Aerosol Components in BEAS-2B Cell Lines: Dosage-Time Dependent Cellular Response. Kumar Sarang presented poster titled Aqueous phase reactions of 1-penten-3-ol with hydroxyl and sulfate radical. The EAC 2019 provided a great opportunity to create new network and an important insight into the recent advancements in aerosol and environmental chemistry research and also an op-portunity to learn from the experts in the field.
