19th International Microscopy Congress-IMC19

Ying Zhou, NaMeS PhD students, attended the “19th International Microscopy Congress” organized by Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Society and IFSM. The conference is a feast in the field of microscopy and it is held every four-year. During the congress, hundreds of speeches were delivered, topics varied from life sciences, physical sciences to instrumentation and techniques. The conference was impressive, especially the talk given by the 2 Nobles prize winners - Dan Shechtman and Joachim Frank.

During the conference, Ying presented a poster titled “Determine the concentration of DNA interacting with Doxorubicin in vivo”. She also had a 3-minute mini oral presentation about the poster.

Before the congress, on 8th and 9th of September, Ying also participated in 2 workshops at University of Sydney and University of New South Wales respectively. The workshops were about the application of different microscopies in life sciences.
