Rashmi Runjhun, attended the “18th International Seminar of PhD Students on Organometallic and Coordination Chemistry” held at Świeradów-Zdrój, Poland. The Seminar included talks from distinguished professors as well as oral presentations of PhD students from different countries.

Viknasvarri Ayerdurai, NaMeS PhD student, paricipated in the European Materials Research Society fall meeting. The conference was held at the Warsaw University of Technology. The conference was accompanied by exhibitions and technical sessions.
19th International Microscopy Congress-IMC19
Ying Zhou, NaMeS PhD students, attended the “19th International Microscopy Congress” organized by Australian Microscopy & Microanalysis Society and IFSM. The conference is a feast in the field of microscopy and it is held every four-year. During the congress, hundreds of speeches were delivered, topics varied from life sciences, physical sciences to instrumentation and techniques.
Polish Photoscience Seminar - PPS 2018
Wassie Mersha Takele, NaMeS PhD student (supervisor prof. Waluk), attended Polish Photoscience Seminar (PPS) 2018 which was held in Krutyń, Poland. The seminar covered many topics of photochemistry and spectroscopy.
31st International Symposium of Rarefied Gas Dynamics
Gabriel Rochinha Morgado, NaMeS PhD student, visited center University of Strathclyde and participated in 31st International Symposium of Rarefied Gas Dynamics, Glasgow, UK. He presented lectures – “DSMC simulations of Turing patterns in concentrated growing systems”.
Hands-on Research in Complex System school
Ashmita Bose, NaMeS PhD student, participated in the ‘Hands-on Research in Complex System school’ arranged by International center for Theoretical Physics(ICTP), Italy. School participants got exposure to many different form of work on Nonlinear Complex System.
2018 Microfluidics Professional Course in the University of Toronto
Yu-Ting Kao and Yu-Kai Lai, NaMeS PhD students, participated in the Microfluidics Professional Course which took place in a prestigious academic institute, University of Toronto. The lecture modules covered microfluidic technology and its research progress nowadays which is a fresh view for to see how other groups utilize microfluidic and apply on research.
ESOF 2018
Faria Khan, NaMeS PhD student, took part in the Euro Science open forum 2018, which was a great networking event to bring about scientists, researchers, policy makers, students, innovators and journalists under one platform. Participation in the event was enlightening and engaging for her with a lot of parallel sessions, activities and satellite events taking place in the city of Toulouse.
3rd International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials
Ayesha Khan, NaMeS PhD student, participated in the 3rd International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materialsorganized by Jagiellonian University, Poland. During the event she presented a poster entitled “Selective oxidation of 5-hydroxymethyl-2-furaldehyde via photocatalysis” (Ayesha Khan, Juan Carlos Colmenares, Roger Gläser).
