Viknasvarri Ayerdurai and Alcina Johnson SUDAGAR, NaMeS PhD students, participated in the summer school, Smart materials for and from electrochemistry at Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy. This school was organized by the Italian Chemical Society. The summer school focused on smart materials that can be produced through electrochemistry.

On the 7^th-18^th of January 2019 Carolina Cruz and Horacio Serna attended the school MolSim-2019: Undertanding Molecular Simulation organized by the Amsterdam Center for Multiscale Modelling.

Nabila Yasmeen, NaMeS PhD student has participated in the three-days workshop on Broad band dielectric and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, organized by Novocontrol technologies, Montabaur Germany. The basic objective of the training was to provide an introduction to the broadband dielectric spectroscopy and its importance as an electroanalytical experimental tool.

Faria Khan participated in the one week long course on Optical Microscopy Imaging for Biosciences. The objective of the mobility was to acquire new practical skills on advanced imaging techniques used as well as the background theory and software tools involved in the in vitro study.

Natalia Olejnik-Fehér participated in a scientific and integration trip organized by the Prof. Janusz Lewiński’s group. The trip was attended by the students, doctoral students and employees of two research groups of Professor J. Lewiński

Rashmi Runjhun, NaMeS PhD student attended the ‘International Conference on Interfaces in Organic and Hybrid Thin-Film Optoelectronics’ (INFORM 2019) held at Valencia, Spain from 5th-7th of March 2019.

The 6th MCAA General Assembly and Annual conference took place in University of Vienna. It was a two days’ long event with parallel sessions and networking events.

Faria Khan participated in the one week long toxicogenomics course under Erasmus Plus Staff Mobility program. The objective of the mobility was to acquire new practical skills on genomic data analysis as well as the background theory involved in the study. There were two modules of the course: the background knowledge and hands-on practical training.

Nabila Yasmeen has attended  the MCAA General Assembly and annual conference as a MCAA member and volunteer organizer, in the University of Vienna, Austria. The basic objective of the annual conference is to provide the information on the future expected pathways for researchers, after completion of their PhD studies.

Nabila Yasmeen participated in the Global Young Scientists Summit (GYSS) 2019, organized by National Research Foundation, Singapore in Nanyang Technological University from 21th -26th January, 2019. The main objective of the Summit was to engage young scientists to pursue their scientific dreams through close interactions with distinguished scientists and researchers, and with peers.
