On the 5th-7th of March, 2020 Alcina Sudagar and Neha Venkatesh Rangam attended the ICONSAT - International Conference on Nano Science and Technology. This event is the series of biennial international conference held in India under the aegis of Nano Mission, Department of Science and Technology

At the 2020 Chemobrionics Meeting in Prague, Richard Löffler had the opportunity to be introduced to a new community which is related to his work on self-propelled and self-organizing systems.

Yu-Kai Lai participated in the conference MicroTAS 2019. It is a prestigious professional conference for reporting research results in microfluidics, microfabrication, nanotechnology, integration, materials and surfaces, analysis and synthesis, and detection technologies for life science and chemistry.

The purpose of Carolina Cruz visit was to attend the ESPResSo Summer School 2019: Active, Charged, and Magnetic Soft Matter Simulations with ESPResSo at the University of Stuttgart.

Mahsa Sahebdivani, NaMeS PhD student, joined the workshop on AI and microelectronics with emphasis on hardware. The meeting took place at IMS CHIPS, a microelectronics research institute in Stuttgart.

Faria Khan, NaMeS PhD student in the environmental chemistry group of IPC PAS took part in the workshop on fundamentals and applications of the flow cytometry in Prince Felipe Research Centre Fundation .

Mahsa Sahebdivani, NaMeS PhD student, participated in The Twenty Third International Conference on Miniaturized Systems for Chemistry and Life Sciences which was held at the Congress Center Basel, in Basel, Switzerland. μTAS is the biggest conference in the field of microfluidics and offers plenary talks, numerous oral and poster presentations.

Gabriel Rochinha Morgado and his supervisors,  Dr hab. Annie Lemarchand and Bogdan Nowakowski attended the 32nd Marian Smoluchowski Symposium on Statistical Physics that covered a broad spectrum of subjects, from first-passage problems to complex networks, through  quantum thermodynamics and soft matter physics.

Gabriel Rochinha Morgado, NaMeS PhD student attended the “Combinatorics and Arithmetic for Physics: special days’ conference in Bures-sur-Yvettes, Paris, France. It covered a broad spectrum of subjects in mathematical physics, from combinatorics problems to complex networks.

During the 2019 Conference for Artificial Life (ALIFE2019), Richard Löffler​ reported on his most recent discovery of a wax-like self-propelled material which can easily be molded into any shape of interest.
